AEROPRESS

Recipe
- 17g of freshly ground coffee (medium-fine grind, similar to table salt)
- 250ml of filtered water, heated to 85°C

Instructions
- Prepare the Filter and AeroPress
- Place a paper filter into the AeroPress cap and rinse it with hot water to eliminate any paper taste and ensure a proper seal.
- Set the AeroPress in the inverted position (plunger at the bottom, chamber facing up) on a stable surface.
- Add Coffee and Bloom
- Add 17g of ground coffee into the AeroPress chamber, ensuring an even bed.
- Start your timer and pour 50ml of hot water over the coffee grounds, saturating them evenly.
- Stir gently 3–5 times to ensure uniform extraction and let the coffee bloom for 30 seconds.
- Main Brew and Steeping
- At 0:30, slowly add the remaining 200ml of water, filling the chamber.
- Stir again gently to ensure full immersion.
- Secure the AeroPress cap with the rinsed filter onto the top of the chamber.
- Allow the coffee to steep until 1:30.
- Press and Serve
- Holding both the chamber and plunger securely, flip the AeroPress onto your mug or server in a swift, controlled motion.
- Begin pressing slowly and steadily, applying even pressure for 25–30 seconds until you hear a slight hissing sound, indicating that all liquid has been extracted.
- Cleanup and Enjoy
- Remove the AeroPress and discard the used coffee puck by unscrewing the cap and pushing the plunger forward.
- Rinse the AeroPress components for easy cleanup.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your well-balanced, full-bodied brew.
